One of the problems with living in such a small space is that, when it is cold and wet outside, there is nowhere to dry clothes. I find the curtain pole works best.

Instagram #3
1. Peonies at night
2. A dress that will be going in the Shop soon
3. The kitten intrigued by the outside world, but too scared to venture out
4. Snuggling!
5. Venturing out! (but only to the patio)
6. Two new cameras. I got the white one thanks to Kate's recommendation, I noticed the Action Sampler on the same website, so decided to get that too. (FUN FACT: The 1st present Nick bought me was an Action Sampler before we were 'officially' boyfriend and girlfriend, but it broke, it was a sweet surprise.)
7. A little toy rabbit I found amongst some of my Gran's old things
8. The current issue of Oh Comely
9 & 10. I purchased some heated curlers from Ebay since my curling tongs blew up - I am impressed with them so far, and at £10 what a bargain!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far, and for any of you that have a Prom or Ball coming up, I've added some new dresses to the Shop with more coming on Monday.

Chocolate cheesecake brownies
A few days ago on a gloomy, miserable Sunday, Nick & I decided to have a baking day. My contribution was chocolate cheesecake brownies. They may not have looked like they were supposed to, but let me tell you, they were DELICIOUS.
I found the recipe online (I don't remember where, sorry!) a few months ago and thought I would share it with you.
Ingredients
For the brownies
- 225g dark chocolate (I didn't have enough so mixed it with some milk chocolate)
- 150g unsalted butter
- 3 free-range eggs
- 100g plain flour
- 225g caster sugar
For the cheesecake
- 150g full fat cream cheese
- 50g caster sugar
- 1 free-range egg
- 1/2 orange, zest only
Preparation method
Preheat the over to 170C/325F/gas 3. Grease and line a 8inch square cake tin.
For the brownies
- melt the chocolate and butter in a bowl set over a pan of simmering water
- remove the bowl from the pan and set aside to cool slightly
- whisk the eggs, caster sugar and butter in a bowl until well combined
- sift in the flour and chocolate mixture and stir well
- pour mixture in to your cake tin
For the cheesecake
- mix the cream cheese, caster sugar, egg and orange zest until smooth
- pour the mixture on top of the brownie mixture
- using a knife, cut the mixture to create a marbled effect
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until just set (mine took about 50 minutes).
Remove the tin from the oven, set aside to cool completely, then cut in to squares.

Blue Monday
Some items I have just added to the Shop - all with a blue and white theme. The white frilled sundress is my absolute favourite and fits me to perfection, I really wanted to keep it but I decided it probably wouldn't get much wear.
I also added a few 60's dresses to the Shop last night, so take a gander if the 60's is your favourite decade (and even if it isn't). This dress is my favourite from last nights update, I would even say it is my dream dress. I almost cried when I tried it on - there was no zipping that baby up around my cake-loving midriff.

White Heat
Last week I started watching a BBC series called White Heat. I'm really behind, this has been downloaded on my iplayer for a couple of months, but I'm so pleased I've finally got round to watching it.
Did you watch it? What were your thoughts? I still have two episodes to watch, but so far I am loving it. Charlotte is definitely not my favourite character, in fact she kind of irritates me, but I love her style during the 70's episodes, she is my dream girl.
Anyway, I love the way it was filmed so here are a few screen shots to please your eyes.

Inspiration for May
I am always inspired by old family photographs, and I love seeing photographs of loved ones when they were younger. April was a tough month for my family, so photographs like these become so much more precious. I love some of the clothing in these photographs, especially the children's, and my Gran's glittery dress in the penultimate picture, I wish she still had it!
